BitGym content comes in two major types: "Immersive" and "Guided" (Read more about them in our article describing these two types of content here).
Immersive tours are organized into stages, each indicated by a "checkpoint" at the stage's beginning, which you reach during the workout. Once you have reached a checkpoint, you "unlock" the next stage, and so on until you reach the end of the tour. Once you have reached a checkpoint, you can start the tour from that checkpoint in the future, effectively resuming your tour at the smoothest starting point closest to where you left off.
Checkpoint progress is sync'd across devices as long as you log in with an active internet connection and the same BitGym user, so you can even pick up where you left off on a different device!
Checkpoints are unlockable and available to BitGym premium users.
If for any reason your checkpoints are not being unlocked after reaching them and you are a BitGym premium member, do get in touch with us.
Guided tours do not offer checkpoints or the ability to resume where you left off, except when recovering from an app or device crash*. This is because the guided tour experience is designed as a healthy singular workout, beginning with a warm up and easing into intense exercise before winding down with a cooldown. Jumping into the middle of one of these can result in injury, excessive strain, or just an uncoordinated workout that doesn't feel good. If you are unable to complete a guided workout in BitGym, we recommend working up your stamina to be able to get from start to finish of a guided tour without attempting to continue from the middle, and until then starting from the beginning and ending them when you have reached your limit for that session.
Don't forget to stretch before and after your cardio!
*if the BitGym app or your device OS crashes or shuts down, and you can reopen the app within 10 minutes, it will resume as close to where you were when the crash occurred as possible.
