Get inspired! Your home gym is a daily reminder of your commitment to your fitness journey.
Television Setups
A large display is perfect for BitGym, yoga, and more! For a few hundred dollars, you can get a sleek internet-enabled television mounted and ready to power your workouts.
Already have a TV? While it probably isn't smart enough to run BitGym directly, there are great devices that can plug in and run BitGym for you. Apple users particularly love using Apple TV boxes. Learn more at (link to BitGym on television article for picking set top player)
Shopping for a TV? You can find excellent options with built-in smart features to run BitGym right out of the box. We recommend a 32" display if viewing from close up, or 55" if you're further away.
FireTVs from Amazon are our most affordable recommendation. We like these ones because they are the new models:
- 50" 4-Series 4K ($400 USD)
- 43" 4-Series 4K ($230-300 USD)
- 32" 2-series 720p ($100-140 USD)
GoogleTV enabled Televisions are also great. Make sure it’s actually “Google TV” and not just “Google Cast” enabled as this won’t run BitGym as an app.
- 43" TCL 43-Inch Class S3 1080p ($180-250 USD)
- 65" Sony 4k Ultra HD ($600 USD)
When buying a smart TV always try to get one released in the last couple years so it has the latest operating system and processor. The options listed above should all work great.
Mounting
Let's get that TV perfectly positioned for your virtual adventures!
Wall Mounts
The cleanest look and most stable option. Go for a tilting mount to get the perfect angle while on your machine. Just make sure it's at eye-level when you're exercising - your neck will thank you!
Floor Stands
Perfect if you can't drill into walls or want flexibility. Look for one with wheels, height adjustment, and a stable base. These modern stands are surprisingly sleek and won't dominate your space.
Sound
Create the perfect audio atmosphere for your virtual journeys! While modern TVs are visual marvels, their built-in speakers sometimes sound like they're inside a tin can.
Bluetooth Earbuds
All smart TV platforms support pairing to bluetooth earbuds, and you generally do this through the Settings menu on the smart TV platform. Note: On Apple TV, this uses one bluetooth connection slot and might prevent exercise sensor pairing.
Speakers
Soundbars and surround sound speaker sets are popular ways to expand the audio capacity of televisions. As this is a home gym, you might also want to buy one which lets you stream directly from your phone for when you're working out without the television.
BYO Soundtrack
Power through the Alps with your favorite playlist! All smart platforms let you play music from background apps while using BitGym - you'll hear both simultaneously.
Television-Free Options
Not excited to dominate your space to a TV? There are plenty of other ways to bring BitGym's scenic routes to your routine.
Tablets
The entry-level 10.9" iPad (around $350 USD) runs BitGym beautifully! For a budget-friendly option, consider the Fire HD 10 (often under $99). If your machine lacks a tablet mount a search for "treadmill tablet mount" or "bike tablet mount" will get you pointed in the right direction. Some people even use music stands on the floor. Remember, get it at eye level!
Pro tip: Run a discreet charging cable to your tablet's location - nobody likes running out of battery mid-workout!
VR headsets
Want to feel like you're working out in your own personal IMAX theater? A VR headset can give you that immersive big-screen experience without taking up any wall space! Plus, you'll look like you're living in the future. Check out our BitGym in Virtual Reality page here.
Cardio Machines
If you want help finding a cardio machine, see our FAQ article here.
If you need help connecting your existing machine to BitGym via Bluetooth see our article here.
And the rest...
Cardio is excellent for your heart and mind but flexibility and strength are just as important! Yoga mats, kettle bells, resistant bands, the options are endless (and perhaps overwhelming). What is important is that when you look at the space you feel inspired to be in it. Which items and arrangement will draw you in and represent your identity as a fit individual?
